    ABOUT 90% RUSSIANS LIVING IN UKRAINE VOTED FOR PUTIN

    KIEV, March 15, 2004. (RIA Novosti) -- About 90% of Russians living in Ukraine voted for Vladimir Putin in the presidential elections on Sunday.

    All in all, 21,917 Russian nationals took part in the elections in Ukraine, the Russian Embassy in Ukraine said on Monday. 3.1% voted for Nikolai Kharitonov, 2.2% for Irina Khakamada, 1.8% for Sergei Glazyev, 0.8% for Oleg Malyshkin and 0.3% for Sergei Mironov.

    All in all, 21 polling stations were set up in Ukraine with 16 in Crimea, where the Russian Black Sea Fleet is based.
