    MOSCOW, March 15 (RIA Novosti) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has been re-elected for a second term with 71.2% of votes, said Chairman of the Central Election Commission Alexander Veshnyakov.

    According to him, 48,918,513 voters have supported Vladimir Putin's candidacy. For the moment, 99% of the protocols have been processed.

    Another candidate, Nikolai Kharitonov, has garnered 9,439,948 votes, or 13.7%. Sergei Glazyev was supported by 2,826,219 voters, or 4.1%; Irina Khakamada - 2,644,133 voters, or 3.9%; Oleg Malyshkin - 1,393,940 voters, or 2%; Sergei Mironov - 518,834, or 0.8%.

    Turnout at the elections reached 64.3%, Mr. Veshnyakov said.
