MOSCOW, March 15 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's acting Tax Minister Gennady Bukayev (prior to the dismissal of Kasyanov's government he was a minister) will be offered the job of an assistant to Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov on the staff of the Russian government, a source in the government told RIA Novosti.

As Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin told RIA Novosti earlier, Anatoly Serdyukov, current acting head of the Moscow department of the Tax Ministry, will be acting tax minister for the period of transformation of the ministry into a federal tax service.

Mr. Kudrin said that on Monday he plans to introduce Serdyukov to the personnel of the ministry as its acting head.

Mr. Kudrin pointed out that the conversion of the tax ministry into a federal tax service will take some time, since it will involve making a series of amendments to the existing legislation.

The candidacy of a head of the federal tax service has not yet been submitted to the prime minister for approval, the finance minister noted.
