MOSCOW, March 15 (RIA Novosti) - Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet on Monday with the government top officials and hold telephone talks with his counterparts from a number of countries, the president said at a press conference he held in his election staff in the early hours of Monday.

Journalists asked Mr. Putin what he would do on the first working day after the elections.

"I will work," said the president. "This is the first working day." The president did not rule out that the schedule might be a bit shifted in time, as on Sunday, in his words, the working day ended too late or started too early for many people.

"Anyway, there will as usual be a meeting with the government top, a few meetings with colleagues from different departments, government and law enforcement structures," said the president.

Besides, the head of the Russian state said, there will be a number of phone talks with his counterparts who want to discuss bilateral issues.

"I think everybody understands that this is also connected with the outcome of the election... A few such phone talks have been scheduled," Mr. Putin reported.
