MOSCOW, MARCH 14, 2004, RIA NOVOSTI - The voter turnout in the Russian presidential polls is 42.1 percent, as of 2:00 p.m., Moscow time, Alexander Veshnyakov, Chair of the Central Electoral Commission, told reporters.
In last year's parliamentary election, the turnout came to just 32.8 percent by that time of the day, Veshnyakov reminded the media.
