MOSCOW/TBILISI, MARCH 14 (RIA Novosti). The Georgian authorities have cancelled flights in an attempt to prevent the return of Adzharian leader Aslan Abashidze to that autonomous republic, RIA learned from the team of Abashidze, who planned to leave Moscow for Batumi on Sunday.

The sources say the Tbilisi authorities cancelled even regular passenger flights and so the plane of Adzharian Airlines will not be able to fly to Batumi from Moscow today. They believe that the situation around Adzharia "has been rapidly deteriorating" in the past few hours.
