    MOSCOW, March 14 (RIA Novosti). The turnout at the presidential elections is higher than we expected, Alexander Veshnyakov, chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC), told journalists. It is higher than expected "and higher than at the parliamentary elections," he said.

    According to his information, the turnout was 9.2% in the Far Eastern Federal District, 6.5% in the Siberian Federal District, 7.7% in the Urals district, 3.4% in the Volga district, and 0.7% in the North-Western district as of 10:00 a.m. Moscow time.
