EARLY VOTING IN RUSSIAN PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS STARTS IN LATVIA

RIGA, March 13 (RIA Novosti) - Russian nationals living in Latvia have started early voting in the Russian presidential elections on Saturday.

Tomorrow many Russians will not be able to arrive at Russian consulates in Riga, Daugavpils and Liepaja for different reasons. Therefore they can vote today in the towns of Aluksna, Ventspils, Jekabpils, Jelgava, Rezekne, Cesis and Jurmala.

According to official data, over 20,000 Russian nationals live in Latvia today.

10,500 of them voted in the Russian presidential elections in March 2000.
