ARMENIAN PRIME MINISTER, GEORGIAN PRESIDENT DISCUSS ECONOMIC COOPERATION

YEREVAN, March 13 (RIA Novosti) - Armenian Prime Minister Andranik Markaryan and Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili, currently on a two-day official visit to Yerevan, discussed bilateral and regional economic cooperation, first of all in energy and the communications sphere.

The sides discussed the reconstruction of the Abkhaz railroad and transportation of Armenian cargoes via Georgian ports Batumi and Poti, the public relations department of the Armenian government said on Saturday.

Markaryan and Saakashvili pointed out the necessity to boost the activities of the Georgian-Armenian intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation.
