MOSCOW, March 12, 2004. (RIA Novosti). CIS Countries are to lift all tariff and non-tariff restrictions in mutual trade by 2012.
"Today the Commonwealth of Independent States has 27 tariff and 200 non-tariff restrictions," director of the free trade area department of the CIS Executive Committee Vladimir Pokrovsky told journalists on Friday.
"They will be lifted by turns in accordance with groups of goods. All customs restrictions will be lifted by 2012," he noted.
According to Pokrovsky, the free trade area has already been introduced in the CIS countries because 12,000 kinds of goods are moving in a free regime.
