PUTIN SUBMITS BILL ON PENSION PROVISION FOR DISABLED IN WWII TO THE DUMA

MOSCOW, March 12, 2004 (RIA Novosti correspondent) - Russian President Vladimir Putin will submit a draft law on better pension provision for people who were disabled in the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945) when they were children. The president said this at his meeting with Minister of Health and Social Development Mikhail Zurabov.

Vladimir Putin said that after a session of the State Council Presidium held in St. Petersburg, he had instructed Mikhail Zurabov to draft a law on improving pension provision for people who were disabled in the Great Patriotic War when they were children.

The president thanked Mikhail Zurabov for the quick drafting of the bill. "I have received the draft law and will submit it to the State Duma today," said Vladimir Putin.
