MOSCOW, March 10, 2004. (RIA Novosti) - Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov intends to propose to the State Duma (the lower chamber of the Russian parliament) to unite the Russian Federal Property Fund with the Federal Property Managing Agency.

"I will propose to the Duma to unite them, and the President supports me," the Prime Minister said at a press conference.

"The Fund is now facing obvious problems, but sooner or later we will unite it with the Agency. There we will most probably include the cadastre as well, as all these issues are inter-connected," Fradkov explained.

"We cannot do this at present, because there is a law that divides functions of the Federal Property Fund and the Federal Property Management," he added.
