MOSCOW, March 10, 2004. (RIA Novosti). Russian President's Plenipotentiary Representative in the Southern Federal District Vladimir Yakovlev, a former vice premier of Mikhail Kasyanov's government, sees no grounds for unification of any regions of his district.

"I have not considered this in detail yet. It seems unnecessary at the first glance," he told journalists.

According to Mr. Yakovlev, he will work mainly in the Southern Federal District and will visit Moscow one-two times a month.
