    ASHKHABAD TO HOST RUSSIAN-TURKMEN CONSULTATIONS ON CASPIAN SEA STATUS

    MOSCOW, March 10, 2004. (RIA Novosti) -- Russian and Turkmen experts will hold bilateral consultations on the Caspian Sea status in Ashkhabad on March 10-11, the press and information department of the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Wednesday.

    The Russian delegation will be headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Viktor Kalyuzhny, the Russian President's special envoy for the Caspian Sea status.

    In addition, a working group on the Caspian Sea at the level of deputy foreign ministers will meet in Baku in mid-March and foreign ministers of the Caspian states will gather in Moscow in early April.
