MOSCOW, MARCH 10. /RIA NOVOSTI / -- Veterinary services of the Russian Federation have imposed temporary limitations on the import of poultry products from American state Maryland, RIA Novosti was told by the press service of the Russian Agricultural Ministry.
"Since cases of chicken flu have been detected among poultry in the state of Maryland, a temporary limitation on the import to Russia from Maryland of live poultry, incubator-grown eggs, poultry meat and all kinds of poultry products without heat processing, as well as poultry meal, have been imposed", a spokesman for the press service said.
Maryland is the third American state whose poultry imports are limited. Earlier, the chicken flu imposed temporary limitations on poultry meat imports from Texas and Delaware.
