The exercises are held in accordance with the plan of interaction between the military detachments of the Tajik Defense Ministry and the 201st Russian division on the protection of the Tajikistan state border.
The main aims of the exercises are to drill the interaction during the joint military operations on the fight against international terrorism and protection of the state border, as well as to increase experience of commanding staff in the organization and conducting of the joint military operations in the mountainous and desolated areas.
According to the Tajik Defense Ministry press-service, the exercises will be held in three stages. The final stage with field firing will be held at the Lyaur shooting range (20 km south-west of Dushanbe).
