PYATIGORSK, March 9th, 2004 (RIA Novosti correspondent) - Two explosions have been prevented at a polling station in the Bugaroi settlement of the Itum-Kalinsky district, southern Chechnya.
According to the southern federal district department of the Russian Interior Ministry, a homemade explosive device was found at the attic of the school where the polling station was to be located. It consisted of a metal tube stuffed with six kilograms of TNT and plastic explosives. The second explosive device stuffed with metal balls was found on the school premises.
Both explosives had clock mechanisms.
