TEHRAN, March 8 (RIA Novosti) - Iran intends to become a member of "the nuclear club," Hasan Rowhani, Secretary of the Supreme Council for National Security of Iran said at a session of the council of experts, one of the governing bodies of the Islamic Republic of Iran that recently celebrated its 25th anniversary.
"Iran is a state that can produce nuclear fuel, and this must be recognized by the world public," he believes.
At the same time, Mr. Rowhani admitted that this problem was difficult to resolve. He added: "We must reach success at the negotiations on this issue resolution, while the world's nuclear powers must recognize Iran's capabilities and consider the issue of allowing Iran to enter the number of influential countries who possess nuclear technologies." Mr. Rowhani noted the lack of an atmosphere of trust between Iran and European countries on the problem of Iranian nuclear programs and other spheres of cooperation.
"We've been working with Europe for 25 years but were not able to reach a final agreement yet," he said.
