MOSCOW, March 5, 2004 (RIA Novosti) - The police do not rule out that a woman who has been detained carrying explosives is involved in preparations of a terrorist act, a source in Moscow's main interior affairs department told RIA Novosti on Friday.
Chechen resident Zara Murtazaliyeva, 21, was detained in south-western Moscow yesterday carrying 200g of plastid explosive. The detainee has no Moscow registration in her passport.
Police are checking on the detainee's possible links to militant groups and police record.
Police are identifying people connected to Murtazaliyeva and a source of the explosive.
