    KAZAKH MPs TO MONITOR PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS IN RUSSIA

    ASTANA, March 5, 2004 (RIA Novosti) - Kazakhstan will send representatives to monitor the presidential elections in the Russian Federation, the Majilis (Lower House of parliament in Kazakhstan) press service reported. At a session of Majilis, a group of parliamentarians was selected to monitor the presidential elections in Russia, the Majilis press service reported.

    According to the press service, the members of the Kazakh parliament will observe the Russian presidential elections on election day, March 14, 2004, in St Petersburg.

    Moreover, the members of the Kazakh parliament also plan to act as observers in the Georgian parliamentary elections in Tbilisi on March 28, 2004, the press service reported.
