MOSCOW, March 5, 2004 (RIA Novosti correspondent) - Deputies of the Motherland and LDPR factions will determine their position in regard to prime minister nominee Mikhail Fradkov during his address to the State Duma session, due later in the day.

"We would like to get answers to social and economic issues," said Deputy Speaker of the Duma Dmitry Rogozin (Motherland).

At the same time, he noted that his faction members were free to vote how they like. "About half of the deputies, including me, intend to abstain. Some will vote for Fradkov's candidacy," said Rogozin.

Deputy Speaker of the Duma Vladimir Zhirinovsky (LDPR) said that the faction deputies had not decided yet how to vote.

"Most likely, some will vote for his appointment," assumed the deputy speaker.

He also noted that they should think before bluntly denying the candidacy.
