SAINT-JEAN-DE-LUZ (FRANCE), March 5 - RIA Novosti. Russia's acting Minister of Defence Sergei Ivanov does not rule it out that a trainer aeroplane for training military flyers of the NATO countries will be made on the basis of the MIG-AT aircraft designed by Russian and French aircraft-builders.

"We believe that the aircraft can very well be used as the basis for designing a Euro-Trainer trainer airplane to train military fliers of the NATO countries, specifically on fifth-generation aircraft," Russia's Defence Minister said after his talks with Defence Minister of France Alio-Marie Dominique held at the town of Saint-Jean-De-Luz in the west of France on Thursday, March 4.

Sergei Ivanov arrived in France on a three-day working visit on Wednesday. On Friday he will participate in the work of the Russian-French Council for Security Cooperation at the level of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Defence Ministers of the two countries. (To be continued.)
