MOSCOW, March 4 (RIA Novosti) - Only one first vice speaker may remain in the State Duma (lower house of the Russian parliament), deputy coordinator of the United Russia faction Vladimir Katrenko told journalists Thursday.

"If Zhukov (he holds the post of the first vice speaker) leaves, we come to the conclusion that two posts of first vice speakers in the State Duma are not justified," Mr. Katrenko said.

He did not rule out that another post of State Duma deputy chairman will appear.

Earlier, Russian prime ministerial nominee Mikhail Fradkov said he would like to see State Duma First Vice Speaker Alexander Zhukov at the post of the first deputy prime minister of the Russian Federation.
