GEORGIAN PRESIDENT VISITS AZERBAIJAN

BAKU, March 4, 2004 (RIA Novosti) - On Thursday, Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili embarked on a two-day official visit to Azerbaijan.

A wide range of bilateral relations issues, including regional security, joint oil and gas projects and bilateral cooperation in international organizations, will dominate his visit agenda, Mr Saakashvili told reporters at the airport.

On Thursday, he will meet with the host country's President, Ilkham Aliyev. The two leaders are expected to sign a series of bilateral agreements after the meeting.
