Commenting on the results of the meeting, Sergei Stepashin said that the sides were unanimous that cooperation between the supreme bodies of state financial audit of the two countries is an important component of Russian-Brazilian relations.
According to Stepashin, the parliamentarians, too, will contribute to the development of relations between the audit bodies by passing appropriate laws on audit activity in the most important spheres.
During the negotiations the sides pointed out that cooperation between the two bodies in combating international terrorism meets the interests of both Russia and Brazil which jointly come out for the creation of a global system of countering new threats.
The sides stand for intensifying cooperation between the audit bodies of the two countries with the aim of creating more favorable conditions for the further development of business contacts between Russia and Brazil and for a mutual improvement of the investment climate.
On Wednesday evening the delegation of the Russian Audit Chamber left Brazil for Uruguay.
