MOSCOW, March 3 (RIA Novosti) - A regular session of the Russian Federation Government will not take place on Thursday, the Department of Government Information (DGI) told journalists.

The DGI refused to comment on the reasons why the session was cancelled.

At the same time, a RIA Novosti source in the government noted that the "cancellation of the regular Thursday session was because on Friday, March 5, the State Duma will consider the nomination of Mikhail Fradkov to the post of prime minister of the Russian Federation." "Probably, the future prime minister will have his own views on the issues examined at the cabinet meeting," the source noted.
