    MOSCOW, March 3rd, 2004 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's acting Defence Minister Sergei Ivanov will fly to France on Wednesday, the defence ministry told RIA Novosti.

    "The minister will hold a number of meetings both in face-to-face and enlarged formats. Sergei Ivanov will first visit the town of Saint-Jean-de-Luz to meet French Defence Minister Michele Alliot-Marie," reported the Russian military department.

    Then, Ivanov and his French counterpart will return to Paris for the meeting between Russian and French defence and foreign ministers.

    The Russian defence ministry reported that the sides would discuss international security and the fight against terrorism as well as prospects of the military-technical co-operation between the two countries in training military experts.
