WHAT DO RODINA MPs THINK OF NEW PREMIER? THEY'LL BE CERTAIN, THURSDAY MOSCOW, March 2, 2004. (RIA Novosti) -- The Rodina parliamentary group will finally determine its stance on Mikhail Fradkov's prime-ministerial nomination by its nearest session, Thursday, Dmitri Rogozin, prominent in the group, said to the media. He is Vice-Speaker of the State Duma, parliament's lower house.

Certain Rodina MPs approve the nominee. Others intend to abstain from vote, he added.

Mikhail Fradkov met with Rodina activists in consultations today. "We were discussing routine matters in connection with prospects for Rodina cooperation with the next Cabinet. Particular appointments and details of future cabinet structure were outside the agenda," said Dmitri Rogozin.

MPs offered Mr. Fradkov a Rodina programme, whose many points will come in handy to the government, they hope.
