    MOSCOW, March 2, 2004. (RIA Novosti). Russia is satisfied with the rapid development of Russian-Swedish relations, Russian acting Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov said at the talks with his Swedish counterpart Laila Freivalds on Tuesday.

    "We shall consider extra steps on practical cooperation between Russia and Sweden," Ivanov said.

    On her part, Freivalds confirmed this saying that Sweden is also interested in the development of cooperation with Russia.

    "Russia and Sweden have profound historic ties," she said.
