KIEV, March 2, 2004 - RIA Novosti. Ukraine's General Prosecutor's Office rejects the version of the presidential candidate Ivan Rybkin that unlawful acts were taken against him.

"Unlawful acts were not taken against him (Rybkin). As of today we have not established such facts," Ukraine's Prosecutor General Gennady Vassiliyev said.

Independent candidate for the post of the Russian president Ivan Rybkin dissappeared from the field of vision on February 5, and five days later appeared in Moscow. Then, already in London, he stated that he had been kept in Ukraine by force.
