MOSCOW, March 2, 2004. (RIA Novosti) - The Russian State Duma intends to ratify several international agreements with Ukraine on the state border, cooperation in the Azov Sea and the Kerch Strait, and the formation of the Common Economic Space, State Duma Speaker Boris Gryzlov told journalists on Tuesday, following the Duma Council's meeting.
"These issues will be discussed in the State Duma in March. I believe in April the deputies will be ready to ratify these international agreements," he said.
According to Mr. Gryzlov, he agreed with his Ukrainian counterpart to consider these issues simultaneously. "I believe Ukraine will also be ready to ratify these agreements in April," the State Duma speaker said.
