NEGOTIATIONS ON RUSSIA'S JOINING WTO BEGIN IN GENEVA

GENEVA, March 2 (RIA Novosti) - Another round of bilateral negotiations on Russia's joining the World Trade Organization (WTO) will be held in Geneva on March 2-5.

Bilateral negotiations with representatives of 10-12 countries on access to commodities and services markets will take place within the framework of this round of negotiations.

Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade Maxim Medvedkov will head the Russian delegation. However, he will not participate in the first two days of negotiations. He is expected to arrive in Geneva on Thursday, March 4.

On Friday, Mr. Medvedkov will conduct consultations with Stefan Johannesson, the chairman of the WTO working group on Russia's accession.
