MOSCOW, MARCH 2, 2004. (RIA NOVOSTI). Vice-Mayor Valery Maryasov was killed in Novosibirsk, reported the regional prosecutor's office. According the interlocutor of the agency, Maryasov was shot on Tuesday morning in the entrance to his house. The operative-investigation group is working at the place of the incident.
Valery Maryasov headed the department of the land and property relations of the Novosibirsk Mayor's office. He was appointed to this post in 2000 after his predecessor Igor Belyakov was killed in his car on the way to his place of work.
