U.S.-EXTRADITED RUSSIANS IN NORTH CAUCASIAN SPAS

PYATIGORSK, MARCH 1, RIA NOVOSTI - There were seven Russian nationals among men seized during US anti-terror action in Afghanistan, and kept in custody in Guantanamo, US military base in Cuba. The Russians were extradited on an agreement between the US Department of Justice with the Russian Prosecutor General's office, and brought to Moscow Saturday last, February 28.

They are now in detention prisons of the Kavminvody, a cluster of North Caucasian watering places. None of its towns has more than one detainee, a law-enforcement officer of federal district South said to Novosti.

The men have been indicted and forwarded to prison on court decision, say the Prosecutor General's PR. They do not specify what crimes the seven are suspected of.
