U.S.-EXTRADITED RUSSIANS INDICTED

MOSCOW, MARCH 1, RIA NOVOSTI - The US Department of Justice has extradited seven Russian nationals kept in custody at the US Guantanamo base in Cuba. They were brought to Moscow Saturday, February 28, in compliance with an agreement the Department of Justice had made with the Russian Prosecutor General's office, reports Alexander Yakovenko, spokesman of Russia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The seven have been indicted, and an investigation is on, public relations board officer under the federal top prosecutor said to Novosti without specifying the crimes they are suspected of.

The men were seized during US anti-terror action in Afghanistan, added our informant.
