KRASNOYARSK, February 29 (RIA Novosti corr. Boris Ivanov) - Russian wrestlers are confidently leading the 15th International Freestyle Wrestling tournament held in Krasnoyarsk, the largest city of East Siberia. The tournament called Ivan Yarygin involves men and women.
This weekend, gold medals were won by Movled Bvtirov in the weight category under 55 kg, Makhach Murtazaliyev (66 kg) and Sazhid Sazhidov (84 kg).
Russian heavyweight Kurmagomed Kurmagomedov (120 kg) had no rivals at the tournament as well. Two Russian women, Elena Tolstenko and Viktoria Zagainova (51 and 59 kg) took first places too.
Freestyle wrestlers from the USA who came to this tournament for the first time as a whole team won only one silver medal for the time being. Cael Sanderson won it.
The names of the tournament winners will be known tonight.
