"Our cooperation is of particular importance in connection with the signing of the interstate agreement on bilateral cooperation in information sphere during Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili's visit to Moscow," RIA Novosti's deputy chairman of the board Yuri Ryazhsky told a press conference in Tbilisi.
The agreement between the two agencies will be signed as part of the project aimed to keep Russia and Georgia well informed on the events in the two countries, Novosti-Georgia reported.
The project is to improve mutual understanding and relations between Russia and Georgia.
Two websites, www.newsgeorgia.ru and www.newsgeorgia.ge were created in the Russian and Georgian languages to give information on the events in Georgia and Russia.
