ALMA ATA, FEBRUARY 27, RIA NOVOSTI - Following the session of the Euro-Asian Economic Community inter-state council in Alma Ata this Friday, acting Prime Minister Viktor Khristenko said that while setting up a common economic environment for the CIS, we are benefiting from the European economic experience.

'Taking into account all the factors influencing the development of integration processes on the CIS territory, we follow the example of Western colleagues in this matter," he said.

Khristenko pointed to Russia's ambition to set up a common economic environment. He added that the Euro-Asian Economic Community, uniting Russia, Belorussia, Kazakhstan, Kirghizia and Tajikistan, as a better prepared structure, is borrowing the best integration patterns from Europe.

Russia's ever deeper integration processes with the European Union, widen opportunities for all the participants in the Community for cooperating with Western countries, noted Khristenko.

Commenting on the programme of development measures until 2006, adopted by the inter-state council, Khristenkop said that this document would finally lead to the establishment of a common economic environment.
