AKSAKOVO (Moscow Region), February 27, 2004. (RIA Novosti). The reforming of the single social tax (SST) will not increase the tax load on individuals, Sergei Shatalov, first deputy Finance minister of Russia, stated on Friday.
The modification of this tax will in no way cause increasing of the tax load on individuals", Shatalov said at the board session of the Ministry for Taxes and Dues devoted to summing up the results of 2003.
He elucidated that he was speaking about the proposal that had been often debated in the press of late on the possible transfer of four per cent of the single social tax from employers to the employees. This is not likely to happen, Sergei Shatalov said.
