Matthias Platzeck, Prime Minister of Brandenburg, said this to journalists on Thursday after a meeting between the German delegation and Boris Gromov, governor of the Moscow region.
"All the required papers of Rolls-Royce and the manufacturing firm will be signed very soon," Mr. Gromov said. "It is one of the main economic interests which we put to the Moscow region", added the Brandenburg prime minister.
To Mr. Gromov, the first plane built in Lukhovitsy will be tested in October 2004.
German businessmen have been actively investing in the Moscow region since 1992, RIA Novosti was told at the gubernatorial press service. Over 130 German companies have been operating in the region. Their total investments come up to over 580 million dollars.
Brandenburg is among the first FRG states to have established partner-like relations with the Moscow region. Their 10th anniversary was marked in 2003.
