MOSCOW, FEBRUARY 25 (RIA NOVOSTI) - The formation of free trade zones will be conducive to the promotion of Russian business in the Commonwealth of Independent States, believes Ruslan Grinberg, director of the Institute of International Economic and Political Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Taking the floor at the Wednesday round table at the Unity in the Name of Russia foundation, Ruslan Grinberg said: "In the promotion of business Russia has no serious competitors." "Russian business is stronger than any other on the post-Soviet space and the formation of zones of free trade will prompt it eastward, westward and southward," Grinberg said.

As regards CIS economic integration, he said that this goal has proved to be, in his opinion, "very complex for Russia and its partners." "Russia is too large to unfold on a par an integration environment and its partners too independent to be put under its command," said the expert.
