MOSCOW, February 25 (RIA Novosti correspondent Nikolai Makarov) - The Central Election Committee (CEC) sent letters to the leader of the Yabloko party, Grigory Yavlinsky, and the leader of the KPRF party, Gennady Zyuganov, stating that there were no grounds to doubt the outcome of the State Duma elections in the federal district.

Earlier Mr. Zyuganov and Mr. Yavlinsky sent complaints to the CEC contending that when votes were being tallied they were falsified.

"There were no falsifications during the Duma elections," the head of the CEC, Alexander Veshnyakov, said.

"There is recklessness and disorder in the work of some election commissions as well as in the work of some election observers representing these political parties."

Mr. Veshnyakov told journalists that the heads and members of the local election commissions that neglected their duties and were careless when tallying votes, "are no longer working there."
