    WORLD WAR II AIRCRAFT EXHIBITION TO BE HELD IN MOSCOW REGION IN AUGUST

    MOSCOW, February 25 (RIA Novosti) - An exhibition of World War II aircraft will be held in August 2004 in the town of Monino, the Moscow Region. The exhibition will be devoted to the 60th anniversary of the victory of the Soviet Union in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 against the nazi Germany, the press-service of the Russian Air Force has told RIA Novosti.

    The unusual exhibition, which will be held on the territory of the Yuri Gagarin Air Force Academy, will also reconstruct a field aerodrome of the Soviet Red Army. Apart from aircraft, materials on the front-line life of pilots, their personal belongings and awards will be on display.

    Also, visitors will see a grand air show to involve both modern aircraft and World War II planes.

    The exhibition is scheduled for August 13-15 and will be held with the support of the 1945-Victory international public fund.
