MOSCOW, February 25, 2004. (RIA Novosti) -- The investigation commission on the aqua-park dome collapse on February 14th rejects the version of the foundation move.
"Foundation processes did not a cause the roof collapse in Transvaal Park," Moscow Mayor Yury Luzhkov told on Wednesday with reference to the first results of the commission investigating the tragedy in aqua-park.
According to the Moscow Mayor, some mass media have hurried to give their explanation of the tragedy. They wrote about some "rivers, brooks and karst cavities".
"The first conclusions made by the commission show that the cause of the tragedy was not a foundation," Mr. Luzhkov said.
The dome collapse killed 27 and injured more than 100.
