MOSCOW, February 25, 2004. (RIA Novosti) -- Russian President Vladimir Putin has called on entrepreneurs to make a sizeable contribution to the administrative reform in Russia. This call is contained in greetings Putin sent to the organisation of small and medium businesses OPORA of Russia, which opened on Wednesday in Moscow. The theme of the forum is "Administrative Reform and Small Business".

As seen by the Russian leader, this theme is "especially relevant in connection with the ongoing creation and strengthening of small and medium businesses in Russia".

"Our key task remains to remove obstacles from the path of business initiative, and to get rid of excessive bureaucratic pressure," Putin says in his greetings. According to him, small and medium businessmen can make a considerable contribution to the solution of this problem.

"The ultimate result of the constructive business-state dialogue will be a growth of the Russian economy and an improvement in the investment climate in the country," the Russian president is convinced.
