MOSCOW, February 24 (RIA Novosti) - A European register of regulatory acts will be compiled in the near future, Russian Justice Minister Yury Chaika told reporters after negotiations with Guy De Vel, the director general on legal affairs of the Council of Europe.

"At a meeting of experts that will be held this April, we will present a Russian register of regulatory acts which includes the regulatory acts of all subjects of the federation," specified Yury Chaika.

The Russian Justice Ministry told RIA Novosti that the European register is a system of registering the regulatory acts of the Council of Europe member states and also of other European and sub-regional international organizations, based on the use of up-to-date information technologies and systematization of such acts. Completeness, official nature, urgency and authenticity are the main criteria in compiling this register.

One of the aims of the European register is to carry out information support in working out new standards within the framework of European international organizations, a spokesman for the Justice Ministry said.
