BEIJING, February 24 (RIA Novosti) - North Korea will freeze its nuclear program only in exchange for reimbursement.

"If we are offered first to freeze the program and only then to receive the reimbursement, we will not agree," the North Korean Foreign Ministry's spokesman was quoted by the Xinhua news agency as saying.

"This will mean that the talks have come to a deadlock, which is unsuitable for any of the parties," he added.

He also said that the US accusations of North Korea continuing the uranium enrichment program were groundless.

The six-party talks to settle the crisis around the North Korean nuclear program will start in Beijing on February 25th and are expected to last three days.
