VILNIUS, February 24 (RIA Novosti) - A complaint by entrepreneur Yury Borisov, a citizen of Russia, with regard to the decision of the Lithuanian government on his expulsion from the republic is to be examined in the Vilnius court.

The businessman financed the election campaign of Lithuanian president Rolandas Paksas and was granted Lithuanian citizenship by a presidential decree last April. However, the Constitutional Court of the republic has annulled the president's decree as one contradicting the Lithuanian legislation on citizenship. In early January of this year, the government Department of Migration took a decision on expulsion of Borisov from Lithuania on the basis of the constitutional court's ruling.

The session of the board of the Vilnius district court is to be held in a closed regime.

According to the Lithuanian advocate of Borisov the decision of the Migration Department runs counter to international conventions, specifically the European convention on fundamental human rights and freedoms.

Yury Borisov , head of the Avia Baltika company, is reported to have donated 1.2 million lits to the election campaign of the incumbent Lithuanian president.
