    MOSCOW, February 20 (RIA Novosti) - Vladimir Putin signed an order to allocate 1.63 million rubles (some 57,000 dollars) from the Russian President's reserve funds to the administration of the Magadan region (Russia's Far East) in the first quarter of 2004, the presidential press service said. The money will go to local health care institutions.

    An off-road bus for the Severo-Evenkiiskaya central district hospital will be purchased to let medical teams go to distant regions of the Extreme North.

    Medical equipment for the Magadan regional oncological clinic will be purchased, as well.
