MOSCOW, February 19, 2004 (RIA Novosti) - German and Canadian experts will help their Russian colleagues inquire into the collapse of the Transvaal Park leisure centre, the tragedy that took place last Saturday and killed 26 and injured more than 100 people, Larisa Barinova, Deputy Chairperson of Gosstroi, Russia's state construction committee, said at a press conference on Thursday.

Experts of the German water park association have already got engaged in the inquiry effort, said Ms Barinova. Moreover, on Wednesday, Gosstroi received a letter from the Canadian water park association, which also suggested sending an expert to help Russian investigators.

"The Canadian expert will hopefully be working with us throughout next week," said Ms Barinova.

The water park associations of Germany and Canada involve different construction and architect companies specialising in water park projects.

Ms Barinova said the headquarters investigating into the tragedy had set up a commission, which would inspect all the buildings in Moscow constructed by the Turkish Kacak Insaat company.
